OutcomeDisplay panels reconnected and operating normally

01 · The problem

Part of the LED display stopped showing the programmed image.

The client reported failed display sections inside the active Penn Station restaurant. Before arriving, NYC Corporate Sound reviewed the available video and equipment information so the onsite visit could begin with a focused inspection of the display modules, power, data connections, and signal chain.

02 · The diagnosis

The modules were not the root cause.

The display’s cabinet-to-cabinet data path was traced systematically. The fault was isolated to a Cat6 cable that had stopped passing the required data signal, causing the affected panels to remain dark even though the display structure and modules were still serviceable.

03 · The repair

Replace the failed link, rebuild the signal path, and verify the full display.

The failed cable was replaced with an available spare. The LED modules were reconnected and reinstalled, the data path was restored, and the display was checked to confirm that the previously failed sections were operating normally.
